Nigeria is the largest economy in sub-Saharan Africa and boasts a consumer market of about 200 million people. Nigeria is endowed with large oil, gas, hydro, mineral, and solar resources, and has the potential to generate about 12,000 MW of electric power from existing plants. However, limitations in the power sector have hindered its growth. Currently, the daily power demand in Nigeria is estimated at 17,520 MW, while the peak generation capability is 5,300 MW. According to the World Bank, electric power consumption per capita in Nigeria stands at 144.52 kWh, significantly lower than the figure in Europe, which exceeds 5,500 kWh. Other sources even estimate it to be as low as 123 kWh.
We strongly believe that the demand for electricity in Nigeria will experience exponential growth, estimated to be a factor of 16.8 by 2030. Some projections suggest that market will reach 77,450 MW in 2025 and 119,200 MW in 2030. In addition, the Central Bank of Nigeria’s Energy Report stated in 2022 that energy demand in Nigeria is projected to grow by approximately 52% from 2010 through 2035 – a more modest but still staggering forecast.
Research by the World Bank reveals that Nigeria’s electricity production is far below the demand. As a result, approximately 90 million Nigerians have no access to electricity, while the others receive less.

The example about the mattress sizing page you mentioned in the last WBF can be a perfect example of new keywords and content, and broadening the funnel as well. I can only imagine the sale numbers if that was the site of a mattress selling company.
